Currently waiting on a detailer to clean up the truck. Then move all my stuff in.
Speed_Drums, Dennixx, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this. -
So a update. They had me bobtail all the way to North Carolina to meet with the trainer. Which is going to happen tomorrow. Did have a issue with the APU heater being disabled. Then learned how to turn it on. Because Carrier really had to make a complicated APU.
Also something to note on fueling. We can fuel whenever we want I think. As long it's at a Pilot/Flying J. -
Well today was shown how to load and unload liquid nitrogen. And I barely remember all of it. So much things to remember. Doesn't help when pony motor is loud as hell so I barely hear my trainer. But I can tell will probably get it down at some point.

I hope the training includes proper use of the spanner wrench. And not beating the fitting with a brass hammer. Outside carriers tend to not change out washers during loading or unloading. But also alot of drivers at outside carriers won't use the spanner wrench to tighten the fitting when hooking up for loading or unloading.
Once the ears of the fitting are worn down. It becomes hard to get the thing tight so it won't leak. I've seen ASU plants replace the ends of product hose. And install the spanner wrench with a braided steel wire lanyard. And drivers with outside carriers will still use either the cap off there trailer or a hammer to get it tight.
Some of these guys really missed there calling as a roofer, or a carpenter. Was loading LAR and heard a guy hammering for 5mins straight. Come to find out he cross threaded it when he started to screw it on. And never thought to try and back it off to see why it was so hard to get it fully seated.RockinChair, Lonesome, 88 Alpha and 1 other person Thank this. -
We're using a hammer on them. No wrenchviper822004 Thanks this.

Well I learned something about this company that currently makes me recommend them. Last Tuesday my fleet manager asked me if I wanted hometime. I told them I thought they was waiting until I was done with training. They said no they don't force anyone to be out for more than 2-3 weeks if they don't want to. So later that day dropped truck off at a Penske for a PM then took a flight home. For a whole 7 days off. Because looks like if you are 3+ weeks out on the road. You get 7 days of hometime
