FYI: It might help to explain my last few posts here.....
.....by pointing out that (as I did those) I had just finished watching the movie, "Robin Hood: Men in Tights".....

OTR is not bad at all if you aren't mentally weak . Iv done both . Iv had good jobs doing both don't really have a preference per say it's mostly about the job and pay it's self at this point. You can absolutely have a family and a normal life being otr. you just have to find the right job werner is a crap company that you only need to get a better job . Iv known several OTR drivers who have healthy families, I have one too .the money in most cases is better OTR not always but usually. With local you will work hard and you may be on night shift . Fuel hauling offers fantastic pay , if you are in the right city some states pay horrible , P&D can pay good but never as much as the line haul drivers who may be gone days at a time . Really you just have to figure out what you like the most and chase money. You'll see a lot of local drivers who are mentally weak, they've absolutely got to be home no exceptions even if it means a huge pay cut , then you'll have OTR drivers who live in a truck and barely make enough to pay for a pack of ramen noodles. It's up to you what the narrative is.
