Not always. I used to run an RGN with a plain jane 2014 CascadiaFriend, M22 rockcrusher and dwells40 Thank this.

Was your fifth wheel raised any. Had a friend who ran a rgn with a Columbia he had a little trouble with the front of well dragging the ground sometimes. Had to block up under the front when unconnecting the neck until he had some plates made to raise the fifth wheel a couple inches.Friend Thanks this.

When I pulled a rgn the tractor already had ramps and raised filth wheel. Figured it would be a problem without that being done.
Friend Thanks this. -
No, but the trailer had several different settings for the ride height at both the front and rear of the trailer. When hooking the trailer, I would start the pony motor and set the neck height so that the fifth wheel would slightly lift it and take up some of the slack. Once the fifth wheel rocked forward, I would stop, then raise the deck up to lift it off the ground, then back the tractor into the kingpin. If I was just hauling the cat 316 I would raise the deck to it's highest setting, roll the block in, and lower the hydraulics to rest on it. Worked for everything I needed it for. Those XL specialized trailers are about the most trouble free RGNs I have dealt with.

I never was that lucky always had a manual detach neck no hydraulics. Lol

The Streakin Beacon in Salina is pretty good, although they’re headquartered in town so I would expect it to be.
