Absolutely understand your decision…sometimes being regional and home weekends is nice and whatnot but with the limited time so to speak it hampers with both miles and things to get done at home at the same time..sometimes it works and sometimes it dont…just ine those things..

I can deal with a broken APU but losing the power inverter would suck

Sitting in CB, starting an unwanted 34, the load that’s supposed to get me home isn’t here yet. It’s going to Four Oaks, my original plan was to hook to it this morning, get home late Friday take a reset at the house and deliver it the morning of the 24th. That plan went out the window when I got here and the trailer was still 2.5 hours away.

Dispatch and the planners were stressing out because I had originally wanted to be home the morning of Christmas Eve. I told them I will take a 34 now, roll out tomorrow about 1900 run two 10 hour days, deliver in Four Oaks the morning of the 24th. The only thing that sucks is after dropping in Four Oaks I will have to take a 10, and get home about 2100.

It’s no easy task getting everyone home that wants to be home, we are leaving the day after Christmas for Florida for a week to see the Kids and grandkids, so in the grand scheme of things it’s not the end of the world.
