POINT
I knew there was a reason I keep you on ignore and I regret my curiosity getting the better of me and moving the ignore block. I’ll give you credit you don’t change, missing the point by a mile. Back to the abyss of the ignored troll.
Disturbing Avatar by the way

It's been around at least as long as "Gotta have white sheets in Connecticut!" But especially considering the attitude of big city cops back in the day, it's much more believable. I don't think that old cop who docked you at the Water Market in Chicago would hesitate a second to back you into car parked where it didn't belong. Cranky old #######!
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
If you VOLUNTEER for trouble, you shouldn't expect only the amount of trouble you prefer. Make decisions like the outcome is important.ZVar, RockinChair and buddyd157 Thank this.

Yes they could have but they didn't and I think there is a lot more to the story than we are hearing.Lonesome Thanks this.

Nonsensical, but whatever. Not arguing he was a dummy for leaving the truck but Creeper Cop/lLEO coming on property and doing anything besides writing a ticket for illegal parking or possibly towing is abusive. Technically the guy was off duty and could have moved the vehicle off duty under PC rules or because it was at the direction of a LEO without going on duty. So where does the right of DOT come in to do a level 3 when guy was off duty? Want them to start coming in to truck stops and rousting guys from sleeper or off duty to conduct a DOT inspection? Dangerous precedent.

There's a recent video of a DOT cop approaching a driver waiting in line at a repair shop for tire repair with the intention of inspecting the truck.Last edited: Dec 30, 2023

Same thing occurred with me in Brooklyn…cop didn’t care one bit about the illegally parked vehicleJudge Thanks this.

Yeah, they have their own rules up theredrvrtech77 Thanks this.

I guess this is a case of you asked for it. I say this because none of that would not have happened if you were not illegally parked.
-
It's common that people that think playing by the rules is too much to ask of themself are super strict about how others should do their jobs.
Don't park illegally and you don't invite some Barney Fife to cause themself troule.
If supervising one's own behavior is too much how do the same people find the time to micromanage everyone else's job? It's more like spoiled children want the adults to be perfect while they sling a bowl of soggy cereal around the house and everyone should just adapt to their carelessness & selfishness. Why not hold ourself to the same high standard we demand of the cop, property owner, etc? That seems fair.
