We have warmed to 17⁰ but they think it might rain and hit 51⁰ by Thursday. So free sinus infections available here!

I meant that. You place looks darn comfortable.

Thanks. It’s an old house, has its issues, but it’s paid for. The wife got to spend $50k on a renovation about 12 years back to make her happy. My only wish was the wood stove.

I understand that. I've been through 3 homes. One built 1845-6 brick. One 1920 brick. One 1940's. Just recently bought my parents place built 1973. I'm done, no more old homes. This is modern construction and while I have a list of a million things to do. I don't think mom had noticed the little things that needed done last 10 years. I'm done, I plan on leaving this house feet first! I'm over fixing up old homes.

I'm with you on that one. If I had it all again I would have built new when we moved out here. It feels like a never-ending tail-chasing experience keeping up with things. The couple we bought it off had 'reached that point' with the place - they'd invested a lot into it but still had more to go.

There's a foundation company coming out on Thursday to quote finishing off what the last 'contractor' half pied. After that it'll need a new roof, then probably the siding. Or just let it fall down around our ears.

Wish I didn't click on this thread now.

My broken heart was slowly healing. I keep having dreams that I pick him up and hold him - only to realize in my dream that he's gone. Wake up, rinse and repeat.

Somebody in Springfield,MO a few days ago bound and burned a dog. The poor animal managed to drag itself away and was rescued - the reward for conviction is $16,000.

Sorry guys - I have a bigger heart for animals than humans.

Awww!!! I'm sorry. Let's look at the bright side though...I didn't shred the fan like last time. The truck had been running earlier...don't know when it got up in there.
