I’ve had a fridge and microwave in the truck forever, still not a fan of left overs, I only spend about 2 nights a week on the truck so I live with it,
I really think I want to mount 2 tool boxes on my new trailer, 1 for all my #### and a second to set up an rv style out door kitchen, used to love carrying a propane grill with me but I haven’t had room in this truck, maybe a small water tank/pump for a sink tooAnother Canadian driver, Tug Toy, Big Road Skateboard and 1 other person Thank this. -
rice and butter is great soul food but cooking takes too long, i just throw a handful of oatmeal and a handful of nuts and a handful of raisins and a handful of nacho doritos and a can of beans and 4 tuna packets and 5 spoons of olive oil and 6 spoons of balsamic vinegar and 8 shakes of tabasco into a doggie bowl and eat that slop like chinese surprise. I don't need a fridge. bag green apples bounce around on the floor for 4 months, as long as the skin doesn't break they age like wine inside. GMO for the win!

but i also spend more at GNC than i do on groceries

breakfast is pretzels and butter or bagels and butter
for driving it's honey and a ever present bag of pretzels and a 52oz tea or OJ jug with custom trail mix, coconut oatmeal and raisins, calorie dense af carbs fat and fiber

I can prepare a pretty nice dinner with just a microwave, and typically did at the last place I lived as there was no stove/oven. Helps to have a mini fridge too though, although in the cooler half of the year some space in a toolbox outside of the heated cab will keep things plenty chilled for quite awhile. I would probably never do heavy cooking with grills and burner tops...too much cleanup mess and as others have mentioned will stink up the cab too much. I don't even like eating fast food in my truck because of smell.

I use a crock pot. (Nomad) specifically for travel it looks like a cooler and also an electric skillet. And of course a microwave. I can cook just about anything with those.
Cherokee65 Thanks this. -
I have an electric skillet, air fryer, microwave on the truck I also have an extension cord so I can cook out side of the truck and if I am cooking in side I open the windows and use a small fan to vent the smells out side. Fan is a great idea but if you have my luck the wind will blow from the opposite direction LOL.
Cherokee65 and chimbotano Thank this. -
I use an induction cooktop, skillet.
Works amazingly well.
Just used it to cook today, as I couldn't find a steakhouse for my omad.chimbotano, Keepforgettingmypassword and TX2Day Thank this.
