I heard of this within the last couple days. The driver will be first on the hit list for falsifying his logs, having no co-driver, and the company will be placed under a microscope by the U.S. D.O.T. and the FMCSA.

Any legit company would have their own dispatchers on site where they do business at, NOT from overseas that doesn't understand how the Rules and Regulations exist on United States soil.

Finally, any good driver that knows how the Rules and Regulations work on United States soil can only achieve 3'500 miles a week under the 70 hour rule, unless they are running paper logs and has a truck older than 1998.

Negative, I can get 4000 or a bit over on a good week. On ELD in a 2024 KW.

How can you? Unless you're exceeding the speed limit?

4061 miles is possible on eld. I’ve done it. Drop and hook both ends. It’s rough but it’s doable.

Stay west of the Mississippi. I do 3500+ per week fairly regularly in a 68 mph truck. Over 3800 miles last week with 2.5 hours left on my clock when I started a 34.

I don't stop unless I need to, and I my average load is 1500 miles or so. With the occasional 2700 mile run thrown in. I can run out my hours fast enough that I can finish a restart before I get anything back on my recap, and I run at night for the most part. My average for the entire year last year that I ran exclusively lower 48 was about 3300 per week. That includes going home for 4 or 5 days at a time.

I'll say this, just driving, pretty easy to get 4200mi in a 70. That's only an avg of 60mph. Sure, throw in traffic, pickup/deliveries, etc 3500 is more realistic to plan week after week.

EXACTLY..... looking at my GPS, my moving average over the last 32000 miles is 60.2 mph. And that is with my habit of taking a lot of backroads, and generally avoiding interstates wherever it is practical.

gps goes to stopped at long lights or flagmen youre elog doesn’t . Unless you are speeding excessively on backroads i suspect you’re real average is lower.. PS there’s a big difference between per week and A week .
