I avoid I-70 west of Denver like the plague if it even looks like the road conditions are deteriorated. I’m running 80 and 15 the other way so we’ll pass each other eventually. Seems like 80 is pretty much clear in WY and NE and it’s only supposed to get warmer from here on out

    rokue and DonRobbie Thank this.

Just ran 84/82/80 and sitting in WY east of Cheyenne for a 34 today. WY was a bit wet and chilly yesterday but smooth rolling. Slowed down a time or two but nothing too bad.

You have to spare a thought for those construction workers and their families, what a terrifying way to meet your maker. RIP

The last time I pulled one of those, I only went South across the bridge for the view. You don't have to cross the river there unless your last load delivered down near Annapolis, or somewhere else along the coast. It's not super convenient, but there is another bridge and a tunnel. Of course, I would rather not go to that place at all, but this deleted bridge shouldn't keep you from being able to.... other than the boats hauling some of the imported wood will have hard time getting to the Patapsco terminal with the bridge parts fouling the channel. I bet a LOT of stevedores were screaming at the TV when that news came out.

Did the name of the brokerage start with an "A"?.. I have been dispatched on three of their loads, and not ONE time was the load actually there. I think they broker their loads to several carriers, and just hope one of them shows up. Second time I was sent to get one of theirs, the load was picked up at 0900, 4 hours before I even unloaded my prior load, and there were two guys that got there at the same time that were after another load. Not all brokers are bad, but these fools deserve to go out of business.

All the broker loads I have pulled in recent memory have been from CH Robinson. Only really had a problem with one load but I blame the shipper for those issues I had
