I ran into an old coworker. He said there are guys out there still looking for work. Guess I lucked out.

 

I work with some guys who were with USF when Yellow imploded and cost them their jobs. The timing on that and them getting hired on at the new job was like a perfect, lucky situation.

 

We hired two people at Holland and one was laid off the following week. The other one was fired with the rest of us a month later. Both CDL school grads that could have picked any other company but rolled short with Yellow. Their only sin was being oblivious to what was going on with the company before they signed up.

 

A former driver of ours bought up a set plus dolly for $3,400 total at a Ritchie Bros auction. Curious how the conversation went with his old lady when he rolled in with a set.

 

Chances are the wife said:
“I want a divorce!!”

 

For $3,400 she should be saying "nice job, let me go cook you a nice meal". He can part out just the tractor on ebay and cover costs and then some.

 

It’s that cheap to start an ltl company?! Sign me up!
