I didn’t get a chance to look at the gate.

The big stocky guy that’s about 40? Is the mechanic two weeks out of the month, the other times he’s dealing with skid steers.

He only works on trailers for the most part now that the camera/eld switch over is done. Mainly tries to keep our older specialized/wing trailers on the load and somewhat working correctly. It’s a full time job most of the time.

Got loaded this morning w/o issue... that's 1 in a row. I picked up 20 pallets of assembled 11" 5/8 bolts, nuts and washers. When I saw the description of the product when the sent me my load info, I though - no way I am picking up a flatbed load of that. But sure enough, nicely boxed, banded and shrink wrapped. It is going to a small town in TX who is having a large solar farm erected and these are the fasteners that will hold it all together.

It seems that the greater Orlando area is a hotspot for solar equipment. I have picked up frames for solar panels multiple times all around there, and now the fasteners. He said they ship 5-6 loads of these a week out of there, most of them have a lot more pallets than mine.

Saw a story on the news where hail came through and destroyed a solar farm. They were talking about toxi chemicals getting into the ground

I saw where COTC now has to take pictures during their pre trip with some device. Not sure if it’s the elog or a separate device.
‘They’ just keep piling #### on top of us from every direction.

Lonesome and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Probably because idiots refuse to do an actual inspection..I can’t count how many times I’ve seen drivers never get out and do any kind of pre trip inspection before driving off

Our Sam-crappa units have that option, so far we haven't heard about any implementation of such things here, but I bet if they start doing that, they might have to reintroduce the mega-sign on bonus to attract anything more than seat warming, steering wheel holding, short-bus driving school graduates.

but the funny thing is, if you see one driver get out and do even a minimal lights and tire kick walk-around, others decide to do one too.

The Sam-crappa has been doing better with the auto-arrive and depart location, until today. When I was over 15 miles from my delivery...boom, it said I have arrived. When I got to the little poe-dunk Peelot 12 miles from my delivery, it shows me having departed and completed the load. Samsara can bite my butt.

No, that’s not at all a problem with the technology. That’s a problem with a driver who doesn’t know who to use it.

Well it’s all about the law of averages. Mine never auto arrives or departs me.
