"According to police, the truck driver 'was following his GPS guidance when it inadvertently took him down the boat ramp.'"
If it led you down the boat ramp, then was it truly "guidance"? I like to ask life's bigger questions....mjd4277, Flat Earth Trucker, Crude Truckin' and 2 others Thank this. -
He missed his turn on highway 3 and continued straight then missed the reroute directions so drove through the parking lot into the drink . At 30 mph if he wasn’t speeding excessively (not likely ) at least he got a chance to cool his brakes after coming down a long twisty downgrade lol

Good example of what happens when you use the wrong equipment for the job. Here’s what he needs now.

I went fishing in northern Pennsylvania this past week near the Allegheny national forest. I followed my GPS to a state park and it took me to a literal dirt path marked "Lane E". Since I have 4x4 I turned down it, and what did I see? A set of dual tire marks in the mud with 2 mudflaps and a Freightliner mirror cover laying in the drainage ditch. I was sceptical of taking my Ford Expedition down that trail, idk what would possess anyone to even attempt to swing a tractor trailer in there.
