Some of our pup trailers have more grease on the front of the trailer than in the fifth wheel of what it’s coupled to. That’s one of the results of linehaul driver laziness.
-
Freightliners have always done that so you don’t run out of fuelIH9300SBA Thanks this.

Has anyone else’s fuel solutions really been stretching them out this week? Usually I’d fuel and I’d have around 1/2 a tank MAYBE 1/4. Twice this week I came sliding into fuel stops with my needle buried. The reason I ask is my geotab has been less than stellar this week. Maybe I hadn’t been getting all my fuel solutions and I skipped some… or maybe I’m just dumb and didn’t see all of them. That’s a distinct possibility as well.

Managed to make it to Bethel Thursday night. Unfortunately it didn't mean much as my load back has an insane amount of dead time. Picked up Friday morning in Aberdeen, Maryland and delivering Monday morning in Morris, IL. Deadheading from here to the house after I empty out. Got here this morning.
Could have swung through the house but 170 miles OOR on a 785 mile load seemed a wee bit much. I have to be home Tuesday because the ex-wife is having Surgery and I promised I'd be here to help out. Kinda blows that the pattern the last couple times seems to be that in order to guarantee getting home on time I have to do 2-3 days of unpaid sitting on the road.
So I'm parked at the Peelot taking an extended reset. Went to the TA originally but clearly they were shortstaffed beyond the breaking point. No TP or soap in the bathrooms, gal at the fuel desk was answering phone calls from customers while working a line of folks at the register, getting a shower didn't look likely, etc so I drove back over.
Did catch a glimpse of a light blue Pete pulling an FCC wagon pulling out as I was on my way in to get a shower so I think I may have seen a forum member.Long FLD, IH9300SBA, cdavis188 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I often have the low fuel light on when I fill but it's usually at 1/8 tank indicated (usually about 150-160 gallons to top).IH9300SBA, cdavis188 and motocross25 Thank this.

also take into account previous posts. If you have the needle hit empty on these Freightliners, you still have 60-65 gallons left in the tank. I get not wanting people to run out of fuel, but that’s just absurd quite franklymotocross25 and IH9300SBA Thank this.

i’m pretty sure if you were in anything else other than a Freightliner, it wouldn’t be a problemIH9300SBA Thanks this.

Whew… I dropped one there not too long ago. I had to run back to my paperwork to make sure I wasn’t the low grade… I’ll admit to Mid Grade… lolmotocross25, cdavis188, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.
