Looking for more of a local job and a member here sent me a job listing for a shuttle driver for Ben E Keith. From what i understand, it’s basically what it says. Shuttling trailers, taking empty ones back to DC and loaded ones back the other way. There’s also a local delivery position too but i’m not too interested in that even though it pays better.
Don’t see much about BEK on here so just looking for some more info

I know their warehouses are the most disorganized places to deliver. I’ve been to several, and they stink. But most places look out for their own drivers first. Bottom line food service can be frustrating period.cdavis188 Thanks this.

Pretty certain Keith and PFG are connected, they have a shuttle position constantly listed in MO for 967$ weekly, pretty far run as well, cape girardeau to Lebanon TN and back, they advertise a per diem with it, but all in all it seems to be pretty low. A friend of mine who works for Sysco as a route driver said their shuttle drivers (nights) are paid very well, high 90’s, maybe something to consider?
cdavis188 Thanks this. -
on BEK’s website they say an average of 74k a year, which is plenty for me, especially if i’ll be home every night. I believe this particular run is between their DC in Edmond, OK and where i live. About 240 miles each way

Does it say that it’s a daytime run?
Most of the shuttle run I know of start around 6-8pm. -
it doesn’t, but running overnights wouldn’t be the end of the world. A lot less traffic to deal with, not like there’s much in the first place once you’re north of the OKC area, especially north of Wichita

Did you end up taking this job? I interviewed for the Enid shuttle position. They told me it averages about 65k a year.

i applied but that’s all that came out of it
