The crazy part was...they could easily figure out which truck was stealing the stuff. When they drop it at Lonestar, they had to check in to gain access to the yard, and the trailer was moving then. But when one of our drivers went to pick it up, stuff was missing...and I don't think Lonestar drivers were that desperate, especially with one of their shops on the same property.

Was an interesting day yesterday. West bound, right near the Petro exit east of El Paso, car flipped over on the shoulder. West of El Paso (on the east bound side, a car hit the center wall so hard the front clip was pushed off to the passenger side at a 45° angle, and had all the airbags deployed. Between Tuson and Casa Grande, on the east bound side, car flipped in the median, and it looked like it was sitting completely flat on the body (like it was a convertible, and the windshield pillars didn't do their job supporting the body). Plus the wind was wicked. I saw some of the biggest dust devils in my life yesterday...so much for my clean truck...

I worked for PAM when I first started out and that happened a lot on our Laredo and El Paso runs.

My first week of driving, This happened. I was with FFE, out of Lancaster, TX right down the road on old Huston school rd.

A bare few months later This ####ing happened.

And then I got caught in one of the worst blizzards in 20 years around Christmas, with a truck that didn't idle, and a bunk heater that only worked for 3 hours at a time.

That was just the first year. And I'm still here! I even went through that derecho a few years back. I've seen a lot of tornados, have been part of hurricane recovery, shout out to Lake Charles for not fixing their god ###### roads.

I'm a lucky man, and even luckier trucker. Those are just some of the things we have to go through. So I can relate. This job ain't for the faint of heart.

I remember watching those schneider trailers flying through the air on the news while at the restaurant in big cabin eatting.

Bought some burgers to throw on the Forman ...#### if I can find the extension cord to fry them outside, and it's too messy to use inside the cab. So, I broke out the air fryer and the big liner pans instead. It has a long enough cord to reach the generator outlet. Never did raw meat in the air fryer before, so I didn't know what to expect...just like my Foreman, I could only do 2 burgers at a time, but they turned out pretty tasty. Now I am gonna have to buy me some budget cut steaks and try them...that way I can afford to eat while I am in Commiefornia.

Dropped the trailer at the customer yesterday afternoon and bobtailed north to do my reset. It was 103 in the lot when I parked and to my surprise, my truck idled for quite sometime. As soon as it cooled down to 101 on the dash it shut off. When I first got the truck it would not idle, even when the dash showed 115. I know they can set a mileage limit before certain features are active, I saw that on the spec/order sheet. Or maybe it was a fluke.

In the morning I’ll head back to the customer and unload/reload for Fort Worth. Then Canada once more before I head home for two weeks.
