Many years ago, I was layed over for a weekend in Amarillo. A guy there with some help from some friends did an inframe of a Cummins N14 in the parking lot of the old TA when the TA was east out past the I-40 US287 split.

Found one. Let’s go to Boston, yuck.

At least you got done moving your cans.(Sea cans that is)Lonesome Thanks this.

Pooler must be pretty quiet now.

Yeah I got that done on Friday with the plans to head north and pickup another one heading to Washington. Now the boat is a week late and with the holiday we are in “punt” mode. We had already booked this load when we figured all that out. It pays pretty good (to spd anyway) so we can bounce where we need to from Boston.

I hope you’re not going anywhere with to much construction, my last OD load there had me on a last minute construction detour…ah the fun of the northeast…

The route is all pretty straightforward except the last 50 miles, especially the last 10 or so. But I’m only 10’6” wide and 86k so it’s not to bad.Winnyf1 Thanks this.

Elevator loads are 10x worse than any reefer load to a grocery warehouse. My POC wouldn't answer his phone for the last 2 days. So I found the site or should I say sites, there are 3 different buildings being constructed here. Finally got in touch with a site supervisor (not for the elevator company, but for the general contractor). He finally got in touch with someone from the elevator company. The elevator guy looks at my paperwork and say that he isn't expecting another whole truck load this week (the paperwork has today's date on it for a delivery date). He pulled me in on one of the building sites and he starts looking at the labels on the stuff and tells me to hang tight, he has to figure out which building I am actually supposed to be at. So now it's only getting hotter while I sit here with my thumb up my butt (supposed to be in the mid-90's here today)...I HATE elevator loads, even on a conestoga. Told my dispatcher that we don't need to put me on any more elevator loads for a while.
