Just got my renewal for year five and it's about $500 more than last year. Each year before it had gone down with no claims, accidents, tickets, etc. Anyone else see an increase out of nowhere this year?
Progressive based out of East TN with around 800 credit score. 1 million/250k cargo.
Insurance going up across the board

I notice, a lot of companies raise your insurance after a few years there, they figure statistics of incident will go up longer your there.
Went with Northland this year, was progressive, they jacked mine up, i left.
ironically my car insurance is still with progressive, unless they play games.Siinman, Diesel Dave and RunningAces Thank this. -
I think I'll shop around too. Haven't had any issues with progressive until now but I don't think I should have a rate increase with a perfect record. Might be inflation related, idk.

Dunno, mine is 11300/year for 1 truck, 3 trailers, 1 million/100k cargo, ( most my cargo i haul is 50-75k.)zmster2033, RunningAces and Siinman Thank this.

I’ve been with Northland way over a Decade. I’m around 10k a year. 2 million liability and another 2 mil umbrella. 2 million for general liability. 100k cargo and some other coverages. Premium only went up about 500.00 if I remember correctlyzmster2033, Ruthless, RunningAces and 2 others Thank this.

I had Progressive for 18 years. Ditched them this year.
Opendeckin and RunningAces Thank this. -
Inflation everywhere except load rates
RunningAces Thanks this. -
I had the same Experience with the same company. Went from 6200 to 8100 with the same coverage for 2 mil liability,200k Cargo. I went with auto owners instead though because progressive wouldn't let me do 120k on my non owned trailer and they were only 50 bucks apart.zmster2033 and RunningAces Thank this.

Insurance went up 17% for everyone across the country with the exception of Florida where it went up around 30%.
Was announced almost a year ago and you could probably do a search and find the announcement.
Your renewal just came late to the party.
For those who are going to say that theirs didn’t increase..it’s because something else went down on your policy offsetting the increase.Siinman, RunningAces and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
$500 on a 10k per yr policy is a 5% increase. My credit Union currently has a checking account paying 6.75%. All you can do is shop around. Make a few phone calls. Maybe get an Agent if you don’t already have one. Beats dealing directly with the Insurance companies.
RunningAces Thanks this.
