Nope. 2 quarts. I mean in the big picture doesn’t seem like a big deal but he’s made a point of putting it out there
-
It’s not a big deal. Run it. Oils cheap.
Miles and hours?Big Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
1.03 mil and idk hours but I can imagine it’s not low. 33k

2 qts is basically nothing for engines that size. I remember back in the day, on the farm running IH diesel tractors, plowing all day, and using a qt per day was considered normal, that’s with no leaks.
W923 Thanks this. -
Back in the day? Those aren’t the same engines like they are now. I mean 1st grade was D, E, F. now it’s the worst thing known to mankind lol but I hear what you’re saying

Some engines will use up to a gallon of oil to get down to a level that it likes and then use next to nothing until it is time for a change.Accidental Trucker, W923, Wildcase and 4 others Thank this.

My wife's 2019 F150 has always used about a quart every 4,000 miles. Dealer says that is normal. That is a today's engine.
His oil consumption is nothing for a road tractor. Do you not thank he is very fortunate?Big Road Skateboard and Star Rider Thank this. -
Back in the day with a 318 Detroit, a gallon a DAY was normal.
W923, BoxCarKidd, Diesel Dave and 4 others Thank this.
