Roehl said no problem. Call in 3 weeks and we’ll get new you new appointment and back on the road. 2 weeks after this, I’m still doing great… Roehl calls and said “Yeah, we changed our mind. You’re terminated and owe us for your GYCDL.”
No the F I don’t. I was doing everything in my power to bust my ### off for them. And they threw me away for a few grand. If they want, hire me back and let me finish my miles for them. But I’m not busting ### somewhere else for them to steal my money.
And you and I aren’t the only ones. I know 5 others they did this to. I think one had less than 25-20,000 miles left. They short changed me miles too, I know I drove more than 17,000 miles. And the real kicker… it’s either all 120,000 miles or 100% of training. No prorations. Meaning even if you did 50% of 120K (60K), they’ll still have you pay 100% of training.
I bet we could find enough Ex-Roehl employees to find a pattern of work abuse like this. And I don’t mean the rotten eggs that needed to be fired. I mean the good one working their ###es off, doing the pre-trip & post-trips EVERY TIME, documenting EVERY trailer, and following every BS safety policy they put out that was too far above and beyond Federal safety standards…
The only things I’d accept from Roehl: 1) erase the debt as I’m sure they’ve already written it off (most debts are supposed to be written off at end of each year), or 2) hire me back at decent rate, treat me fairly with no retaliations (like this #### never happened), let me permanently drive my old manual truck if they still have it (or another manual if my old one is gone), and call it square after I get 100K miles.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 8, 2024

I went to jrayl in November of 2019 and I've been with them ever since thenBlagoje Thanks this. -
Ask the people that sued OJ how much they got from him... -
All I really know is that Rohel did not even try to make a reasonable accommodation... like moving me to refer or dry van since I could clearly drive and was doing everything I could to meet expectations... no they instead dropped me like hot garbage the second I didn't fit into their 28 day mold, and they want to charge me for their decision to drop me... for that reason they will not be getting a red cent from me ever. It should also be said that I was at the Gary, indiana terminal when they pulled the plug on my training, so I was left to fend for myself as far as getting home goes.Last edited: Jul 16, 2024
Blagoje Thanks this. -
Now I really only advise people to use Roehl as a starter company if they already have their CDL A before signing up. Roehl only requires 40,000 miles under that condition. -
