I used do no touch for a brief while but honestly some the most fun work I had was a dump truck, water truck driver for a construction company I left due to lack of pay but it was the most fun job I had aside from the horrible bosses. I can't go back to just sitting in a truck all day, truck stop to sleep you really need want that or use them to want work their just move to something better.
Would you ever pay someone to tarp a load for you?

I used to do that all the time in Laredo. It was cheap, very fast, excellent work. If I were to tarp in Laredo, I had to wait till dark.Bean Jr., PPLC, xsetra and 1 other person Thank this.

Some of the places I've been in Laredo I'd want to be armed if out after dark. Not that it's much safer in daylight.

I lived in Nuevo Laredo for a couple years. The company I was leased to had a yard full of preloaded trailers. Some had to be tarped. The tarp guys were there every day.

Were they the drivers tarps or the company used onion skins?

Their trailers. Everything else I own.PPLC Thanks this.

I believe in today’s market with these rates it’s not going to be popular. There’s simply no extra money to pay someone to tarp for you.

Most of the sheet rock plants have a vendor on site that drapes the tarps for outside carriers. It’s included in their shipping fee @ $35 thereabouts. Doesn’t seem like it could possibly make money as there’s three guys doing it.
cke Thanks this.
