a bunch will let you go if they feel you lied about it,
their thoughts, “If he didn’t tell us about this, if he hits something with our truck, will he tell us.”
Is this legal?

One was bumped someone rear end
Another was I was trying to avoid a car on highway and when I swung the truck the moffet hit their mirror. So they considered that my fault. And lastly I was backing up a box truck and did some accidental damage on a tree limb. Tht was the one they let me go for. -
Did the app ask you to list everything on your record or list all incidents? You were trying to hide an incident serious enough to be fired from the next company & you got caught. How's that working out for you? Stop making bad decisions.wichris Thanks this.

Because not listing things bad enough to be fired and in company records can get you fired. How do I know? Some guy on the internet told me that is exactly what happened to him.
How is getting fired twice better that being fired once? -
Ya can't talk to a tree why try
Feedman Thanks this. -
Some company will probably hire you eventually. Are you sure you should be driving commercial vehicles on public roads? New drivers just seem to glady accept they are going to hit things & get tickets regularly. You should be able to go decades or a career and not hit things & not expected to be called a hero. What if babysitters just assumed they would have a kid die from time to time, oh well. Nobody's perfect.
Albertaflatbed, OrangeBox and Feedman Thank this. -
Florida is an "at will"state so they can fire you for almost any reason.

ALMOST EVERY TRUCKING COMPANY will fire a driver for lying on the application. If you are going to lie, make 200% sure of what your past employer will say about you. Or, be radical and don't lie. Do you want the company lying about your pay and schedule? Why not?
It's funny to watch those with creative interpretations of questions expect every employer to play it straight down the middle and take no interest in anything but helping this driver get another job. Trucking companies already have very expensive insurance bills if NOBODY break anything. Running into vehicles or causing property damage costs someone big money. It's not their job to clean up your mess. You didn't pay for the damage, they did. Learn your lesson. Make better choices.Albertaflatbed, Feedman, Hatt91 and 1 other person Thank this. -
So you rear-ended somebody, you swerved into somebody, and you damaged the truck while you were backing. And after those three incidents you were fired. That does not seem unreasonable to me.
what time frame are we talking about here? Did these all happen inside of one month or did these happen over the course of 20 years?
when you apply to this new company, what was specifically asked on their application? 'Have you had any incidents in the last three years?' 'Have you ever had an incident?' You need to give us a little bit more.Albertaflatbed, Crude Truckin' and tscottme Thank this. -
All 3 'incidents' could be considered preventable.
Safety centered companies will terminate/ not hire someone who falsifies ANYTHING on the application.
OP hid 3 items; should they continue in this profession and an accurate background gets reported into Ten Street's database it WILL be there forever and an increasing number of carriers are using this digital system AND a percentage would consider this falsification grounds to not hire especially with a termination included with the 3 strikes...
The Feds call this a safety sensitive occupation for a reason.brian991219 and tscottme Thank this.
