Day 3 and 4 are load securement, but mostly hands off. It’s definitely going to be a learn on the job type of thing. I really hope they don’t give me crazy loads to start.

    austinmike and Speed_Drums Thank this.

I have finished my hours with my trainer. I had two different trainers because I got hurt on the job with the first one. I should be back at the terminal in a few days. Once I get back I should be placed in a truck of my own. Pay while in training is based on the ELD and is a flat rate of around $71 a day. My training required 70 hours of drive time, and most people should expect that requirement to be the same if they are a new driver.

Congratulations, hope they give you a decent tractor.
    Be safe out there!
Lots of flatbed drivers on TTR with tons of experience..don’t hesitate to ask for advice on securing loads.

Lol, better to ask for help than end up in the thread “Flatbed Hall of Shame” :)
