1099 means you pay for whatever the company says you pay. It's all guaranteed risk & potential pay. Some 1099 may be better than others but getting info on them is more work.

There are plenty of Eastern European companies out of Illinois that would love to offer you employment

From what you've said, it looks like you did get a job, and not only quit but are suing them (which doesn't sound like you're ready to bring your own lube) I would say even the shady 1099s will shy away now, since they'll probably ask you to cut the same corners. Not saying there's zero hope, but you're looking for a hail mary... and there aren't alot of those going around these days. Best luck

Sorry, I misread, you were terminated. But i stand by my comment that anyone who is likely to hire you right now will expect the same.

I’m in a similar situation I have two non DOT reportable accidents from when I first got my CDL. 1st one was I got stuck and bent the wings on the truck in and the 2nd was I bumped into someone’s truck at a truck stop. Everyone was parked all crazy and I was super new to trucking at the time. Minor damage but each time I immediately contacted safety. They let me drive almost to a year then around the 9th-12 months i started getting called in for following distance like crazy out of the blue. Right as I was nearing my year mark with Werner they called me in for that final safety review and said I had too many criticals (following distance alerts) & I was being let go. Now I have a years experience but a safety termination on my DAC so no other company will hire me. I was able to get hired with JB Hunt but I quit because my first week driving the I got called in for a review saying the LYTX camera Ai said I looked sleepy one morning. I had just woke up and literally wiped my eye but I could where that was going so I gracefully turned the keys in after a month. Now I’m not sure what company to try
