I got offered employment on Friday August 23, after 4 days of orientation.
Speed_Drums, austinmike and bryan21384 Thank this. -
How is everything so far? Did you get to do some load securement action yet?
Chi Town Steers and austinmike Thank this. -
Day 3 and 4 are load securement, but mostly hands off. It’s definitely going to be a learn on the job type of thing. I really hope they don’t give me crazy loads to start.austinmike and Speed_Drums Thank this.

Good luck

I have finished my hours with my trainer. I had two different trainers because I got hurt on the job with the first one. I should be back at the terminal in a few days. Once I get back I should be placed in a truck of my own. Pay while in training is based on the ELD and is a flat rate of around $71 a day. My training required 70 hours of drive time, and most people should expect that requirement to be the same if they are a new driver.

Congratulations, hope they give you a decent tractor.
Be safe out there!

Appreciate it! I’m sure I’ll be here everyday asking for advice, TTR is an amazing resource.austinmike and Concorde Thank this.
