Military Sealift Command:
I have this one: Ordinary Seaman (OS) is an unlicensed entry level member of the Deck Department crew.
~
I looked over the jobs available at that time for Ordinary Seaman and the only one I found that interested me was on a ship out of Singapore. Was excited to say the least. Found an apartment for my family with an oceanfront view. Then the wife refused to move there, so gave up on that one. She's Chinese and said those people in Singapore are fake Chinese..lol. I've been there before and really like the country. I can assimilate most anywhere.
The languages of Singapore are English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil.Last edited: Sep 26, 2024

It's not assumptions little man.....it's what you typed. If you don't like the jokes, just ignore it. So you're admitting you're a tattler? Hmmmm.....interesting. Anyway I've seem your type a hundred times. You think because you have degrees and a CDL you should have a rocket ship tied to you and you get vaulted straight to the top where the good money is. You think just because you're incentivized by money, you should get it without paying your dues. Oh honey......that's so cute. You ain't the only one on here with degrees. Don't come on here talking about what jobs you can get with your degrees and skill set because it don't matter. Nobody cares. You're exploring the trucking industry so all that other stuff is moot. If you're truly incentivized by money, then you'll do what you gotta do get it instead of having this entitlement vibe you're giving off.

Have you thought about teaching English overseas?
The pay isn't great, but in the right country can have an exciting life after school.dosgatos Thanks this. -
I wouldn't even worry about it dude. That guy isn't going to make it past 2 weeks in trucking if he can't handle a joke on a trucking forum. Snowflake gen. Asking if racism is next, lol, wait til he drops a load in ATL.tscottme, Sons Hero, idriveaholden and 3 others Thank this.

OP. What sort of money do you want? 70 to 80k a year? A 10 year old CDL, not been used, in ten years? That's hard to get a job with.
Walmart thier drivers make 100k a year. 100k to live in a truck 5 days a week and then get home for two days. UPS pays the most . But you need year or three years of seat time. Cryogenics can make more. You could do food grade tankers being in Florida, dont know thier pay scale.tscottme Thanks this. -
Good lead; get 30 mos. experience, then drive for Walmart where the average pay is $110K per year.RickAnniston, tscottme and 77fib77 Thank this.

. He wants it now. Companies are still closing down.
OTR cryo team drivers can make 130 each.tscottme Thanks this. -
Cyro usually want anywhere from 12 to 24 mos. Well worth it if can be patient and get the experience.bryan21384 and 77fib77 Thank this.
