Because Western might be looking for a reason to fire you. If they can claim you got drunk then they have some cover for terming you.

The only stupid question is one that isn't asked. I'd rather have someone ask me the reason behind the rule/advice/statement than either blindly follow it or ignore it.

A week more with the trainer is fine; you'll be ok.
When I pulled flatbed, I'd look at the load before securing it. Then picture in my mind what would happen if I braked hard or had to make a quick lane change to right or left or what would happen if I suddenly came upon a sharp curve.
Then I secured accordingly.
Much of flatbed is common sense with a little critical thinking.

 

Again, you're at a crap company full of BS & attitudes. Remember what has been learned so far and don't repeat for anybody.
