How did u get it done without a trucking job? I'm on step 6 with a trucking job but this job is trash. I wanna quit and go to the refineries.
If I could finish up step 6 on the side without a driving job I will quit in a heartbeat -
Took 1 year to do all my follow up tests. I'm not sure. Some of the big companies (Schneider, prime, etc) may be a couple of years but I could be wrong. There are many companies that will though since I've completed all steps. One company said as soon as I'm done with my SAP, they will bring me on

I appreciate the information. I am on month #13 and I think I did 6 or 7 follow-up tests. I am trying to get this wrapped up so I can finally put this behind me and move on. I also have potential employers that might be interested in me. Of course I won't even consider applying until I am also done.
Does the length of the program depend on the SAP professional or does it depend on the discretion of the employer? I think I met all the requirements with the follow-up testing and for lack of better wording want to find something that pays better.
I've been at it and I am reluctant to contact my SAP Person. I don't want to make her feel like I am rushing her and have her put me on a 3-5 year plan or something.
I appreciate any and all info. And best of luck to you now that you are out of the program! -
It has less to do with the companies and more to do with the insurance providers. Our provider has a strict 5-years from the disqualifying event policy... you pop a DAT and hit the SAP, you have to wait 5 years from the failed DAT to be hired.

No it doesn't have to do with the employer it has to do with the sap professional, what the substance was and basically up to the SAP. I was on my follow up people very frequent, if not you sorta slip through the cracks

I've heard that as well. 3-5 years for the bigger companies. Even the self insured ones want a 3-5 year cushion. I heard some wont consider you ever if you get that violation. Curious how that works since the violation will fall off after 5 years. So unless you self ID, there would be no way to find out.

Follow up as in follow up testing? Cause I haven't seen my SAP since I cleared my RTD but I have had random drug/alcohol tests done every 7 weeks or so. I am wondering if I should message her and see if I should do a follow up? -
Your relationship is done with your Sap once he/ she enters your rtd negative test result to clearinghouse(step 5) the follow up testing plan is submitted to your prospective employer. The driver is not privy to the testing schedule or length.Tonyc33 and road_runner Thank this.
