YES! YES I DO!
I still like a candy bar and an 'attaboy', so there is problems in my childhood I need to address, but YES.
Honestly, you'd think as important as the safety scores are as a large carrier - they'd set up something as simple as a "$100 VISA card mousetrap" and promote it - but, no.
I might have a future in corporate LS with the mentality I'm seeing lately.
The journey begins - purchased a truck.

Good news - it’s not raining. Nor will it in the morning. I’m all ready to load.
Bad news - not today. But there’s always tomorrow.

The 2 outer lights on either side are hooked into turn/marker, makes a big difference for opposing traffic to see where I'm intending to turn.

I JUST FIGHT AND FIGHT AND STRUGGLE WITH PEOPLE AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT'LL EVER MAKE A DIFFERENCE OR IF ANYONE CARES YET I STILL BANG MY STUPID HEAD AGAINST THE SAME BRICK WALL UNTIL IT BLEEDS AND I'M CONCUSSED AND YET I JUST DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Email to LS agent (Who couldn't Give a F) let alone monitor an email account on the weekend.
First email I sent - the last belt flap worked it's way back and punched out the flimsy board on the crate in transit, it was hanging by one staple. I Tore that off, and put a strap over the belt, and a criss cross to prevent it moving out any further.
Second load - I showed shipper photos of what happened, and recommended putting braces INSIDE 4 by 4 posts to let the product settle, but be prevented from leaving crate.
They instead opted to put more thin strips of rubber on top of belt to prevent movement, and a section of belt (T-piece) separated from flat rubber, worked its way out, and all the styrofoam blocks started to fly off.
I was notified by other road users several times to the styrofoam flying out - I know they only weigh a few ounces, but a block of styrofoam flying at your windshield may as well look like a block of steel - imagine yourself in that situation.
It's littering. It's a load securement violation. It's potentially a lawsuit. And the end of my career.
The styrofoam blocks need to be glued or taped together, the boards need better than WOOD STAPLES to attach to the posts, and if this customer really cares about the end , delivered product to THEIR customer, then they need a heads up.
I already tried to correct the error on the second load - but they chose to ignore my far easier solutions.
I'm the guy that hauls this stuff. I know how it will behave over 700 miles of bouncing roads. I care about their freight , your relationship with your customer, and their customer also.
Most importantly, the safety of motorists. Landstars safety record and integrity couldn't be more trashed than it is, and I don't need to bury it further.
They're a great bunch of people up there, and they have many of these crates that they ship. I'd have liked to have left them with a bunch of caps and swag and what not to promote the LS brand. But I don't have any.
What I'd really like to do is find the top guy in that facility and explain all this to him.
But - I am a servant to you, you are my customer, and upwards the chain goes. It behooves me at times to just shut my mouth, but I'd really like to haul more of these, with some minor tweaks.
Parked at reciever now for unload Monday morning.
