    Count on it.
Into after hours now to repair it. Somehow it was able to move to impound but needs repaired to move now.

That is just wrong. Should be a law against that type of business. I can understand a couple to a few hundred dollar ticket or fine. (if posted)
    A few thousand is outrageous.
On top of it all they damage equipment. Somehow the police need to get involved and stop this behavior.
Can the tow company be charged with illegal tow after the boot was applied. Isn't that the reason for a boot, to black mail the owner to pay for its removal?
    Good luck.

cke, mjd4277, Tb0n3 and 2 others Thank this.

Who the #### are they to dictate whether or not it needs repairs before it can be released? I'd have paid and told them they can release it or I'll go in and just take it.

That BP has over 20 negative reviews from drivers getting booted, dating back several months. Your driver should have read them before deciding to park there.

This is the boot they are using, I'd have that off my truck in less than 1 minute. Screenshot_20241203_190506_Maps.jpg

I just bought a cheap high speed grinder and cutoff wheel at Walmart. It was around $40 for both. Would have taken all of 5 minutes to remove their "boot".
