Yesterday was officially 14 days since installing my SIM card in the company Sam-crappa tablet. To date, the Samsara part of the tablet has only used 616 MB of data, which included load info for 2 multi-stop loads on top of the daily logs data usage. The only real difference I see in it's operation is it is a little slower at changing to drive time after you start rolling (I am sure it probably updates to the second of when the truck told the server it started rolling once the server sends the data to the tablet). So now, the company has a quick fix for all the issues driver's have been having with these POS (for those that didn't decide to use their personal phones).

Oh, and @kylefitzy, the reimbursement for cell phone usage is only $25. I put down $30 in the reimbursement section, and provided a copy of the main page from my cell bill, but Derek told me he thought they only paid $25, and sure enough, there is a $25 reimbursement on this weeks settlement. I wonder what century they are living in up in Arlington. When I was a Poly-wog, they reimbursed $50 without a copy of the bill. But $25 beats nothing I guess.

He twanged every strap and said, "That ain't going anywhere." Once you've performed the ancient ritual, your load will be glued to the deck by magic.

Maybe he is testing the theory that the proper way to drive a flatbed is to drive it like your load isn't secured.

My bad on the reimbursement. I’ve been working with D for a long time, I believe he does try to do his absolute best to take care of good drivers. He’s similar to his predecessor but slightly less “personable”. He’s always been kind of a quiet guy. If I heard right he started out here patching tarps in the shop and worked his way up.

This is the 1st time we have ever spoken to one another, I've seen him hard at work in his office, but never met him. Kinda surprised me when he sat down beside me and told me he didn't think I had put down enough layover time, so he was gonna pay me more. I didn't think he knew who I was.
