I talked to small town volunteer fire department people. One guy quit after three years too many accident victims. He did fight fires, just dealt with messed up situations. Like 10% was fire fighting.

You don't have to deal with it. Just stop driving a truck.

Easier said then done. Especially for those of us that only have 10 years or less till retirement. In my wildest imagination 20 years ago I couldn’t have seen the things I see on a regular basis.

I'm sorry to hear that the only thing you can do is drive a truck. I don't understand your predicament, but I have seen other truck drivers say the same thing.

I drove a truck for a while, then when the cameras came, I left. I always had other things going on, like an education, military reserves, and eventually I got a state job as a corrections officer. I'm retired now. Btw they are repealing WEP so a state job is an excellent way to supplement retirement. Only takes you 5 years minimum. I am not putting up with that any more. Most people can find work that doesn't risk your life and health so much. I don't understand, but good luck, I guess.

I think the one that annoys me most is the local drug addict who knows the roads and intentionally gets in the way to prevent you from merging. Like the person who knows a strange part of the road is coming up, when as a first time traveler of that road you would have no idea. And then they speed up and get next you and then slow down, preventing you from merging, exactly when you need to merge.

I followed someone for almost 30 miles last night on I94 leaving Michigan into Indiana. They drove perfectly on the shoulder at 65 MPH. Amazing they had no clue they weren’t in a lane. Then they exited abruptly with no signal.

Never said I couldn’t do anything else. I can’t go do something else AND knock down over 100,000$ a year on five days a week and no or one overnight runs per week and drive an ungoverned high horsepower owner op spec’d KW.

You assume a lot and are very condescending.

your words above any name you wish

Oh and BTW, sorry you have to worry about supplementing your retirement. My four decades in trucking will leave me in a position such that I won’t need to supplement my retirement. Sorry for your predicament, I’ve heard others say the same thing I don’t understand it though. Good luck , I guess

It's sounds tri state enough for me. Like people in the far left lane crossing 5 lanes to hit an exit. Across the solid exit lines too. Not even hitting the designated exit area. That's very Chi Town.
