How are Tyson drivers doing now still s bunch of sitting, or the miles back up ?

 

Dude, what you are #####ing about is trucking. It just is. Get into another line of work.

 

1) If I could pass a DOT physical, I would have become an OTR truck driver, driving all 48 states & Canada. In fact, one of my top choices would have been Tyson Foods out of Springdale Arkansas. My domicile is in Wichita KS, which I believe is still in the hiring area. I would have been willing to drive dry vans, flat beds, hoppers, reefers, & tankers, making sure that I had endorsements for hazmat, double trailers, & triple trailers.
2) I have never married, never had any children, (actually checked to be sure), have no pets, & live in an apartment that I could be away from for extended periods of time. When able to do so, I pay off the lease as far in advance as possible, always making sure that I have a place to live, should I lose a job due to either a layoff or termination.
3) I also make sure that I have a reliable car, making sure that the proper maintenance is done when necessary. My car has been fully paid up for quite sometime, with the title in hand. Just these 2 things alone, (a place to live & a reliable car), reduces a lot of stress.
4) SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, along with a lot of my older cousins, have all passed away. I no longer have eldercare responsibilities, parental or otherwise.
5) FORTUNATELY & THANKFULLY, I have no criminal record, have had a clean driving record well over 10 years, & don't owe anybody any money. I never smoked, never used drugs, & gave up what little drinking I did years ago.

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

 

When you wash your own rltrailer out at the few plants that have them you get paid $10-15 you have a form to fill out to request it. We have been getting this pay for as long as I can remember going back before 2020.

Back in 2020 on we could fuel at pilot/flyong j or loves. They tried the fuel solutions but have gone away from it. Have never had my fuel card turned off but have had to have it opened if I needed fuel other than at a pilot flying j or loves. Also have fuel limits which I have reached the reefer fuel limit and payroll raised that.

Breakdown pay sit for 12 hrs its $100. Back in 2020 it was sit for 18hrs to get it.

Sounds to me like some of your story is flat out false remembering or your dispatchers were messing with you. I loved that tyson would run me off recaps when i was otr. If I needed a 34 I told them and they allowed me to take one or they would suggest a 34 if it helped get the load there faster when I didn't think about it

 

Do the dispatchers get bonus?
