The longest I was ever out when I was OTR was 6 weeks. It was awful. I ran out of under trouser starch and everything.

Come to think of it, I think I ran out of under trousers.

Doesn't Walmart carry that kind of stuff?
Truck friendly Walmart's are everywhere, except the west coast and east coast and down south.

I thought the solution was to wear one pair until you couldn't stand it another day & then swapping with a stranger seemed Iike an improvement.

Give new meaning to the term ‘the stranger’.

Were we suffering from a bit of that morning “not so fresh” feeling? o_O :biggrin_25523:

A Speak NEVER wears Walmart under trousers! Ours are crafted from the finest wool, harvested from the Vicuna of the high Andes mountains in Peru.

Now I’m sitting in Denver. Delivered last night. Gonna sit here till tomorrow. Part of my boss offering another week off. He found a load going to Gillette. Loads tomorrow (Sunday). Delivers Monday. Pays good, $1200. Gillette gets me alot closer to home. Only other option was for me to deadhead home to Rapid City from Denver. No, I don’t think so.
The runs from Denver to/toward Rapid. They usually pay better because there isn’t much. They pay to get someone to take it.
My boss planned to do all of what I’m doing. We had a driver go to the hospital with pneumonia. Boss had to go rescue his trailer and deliver. In the middle of that bad storm back east. If not for this. I would have just stayed on my Dedicated rout. Maybe sit a day or two because of the snow storm. I would have traded trailers with boss in Rapid after he did what I’m doing. Then following week we’d trade back.

I once spent 4 months away from home... But I was clearing $2k per day. Making $2k/week, my happy ### better be sitting in my own hot tub every Saturday night.

    Just sayin'
