I once worked for a company that did hydro pumping and I worked for them for a month. Paychecks were not what that said they’d be or when they said we would get them. They lied about the work, saying I’d be an equipment operator. Yeah, a shovel. When I went to talk to the owner about the job he fired me on the spot. Missouri is an “At Will” state. Companies can fire you for no reason at all.

I believe that most if not all states are like that these days.

No buy National Geographic one. There's a reason you see them in trucks after someone vacated. They weren't worth taking with them. They used it once, then it was used to rip pages out and clean up coffee spills

You can get fired any state. If they want you gone, they can do it, even in a govt job. There really is no such thing as job security. Some are more stable than others, but you have to put money away and choose who you p***** off carefully.

Well, of course you can get fired in any state, but I think what people are talking about is the REASON they fire you. They can't fire you for any federally protected reasons, such as race, national origin, sex, whistleblowing, etc. They also can't fire you over coercion. This is a big one in trucking.

I have to laugh when I see people give advice to sue their old employer who fired them for "no apparent reason." Then that means it's perfectly legal.

I’m not sure I entered my info right on the clearinghouse. I asked for help while I was in cdl school and nobody had time to help me. They said just fill it out. I might have screwed myself and now I’m really on my own to figure it out. I’m done with it, so aggravated about it that now I don’t care about anything right now! I’m sick of the government making things so hard to understand that people like me get so aggravated about it that they just go make shine instead of getting any other kind of job. I’m about sick of it. This clearinghouse business is a crock of sh

Isn't this really why they call it, "clearing house"?
