No need. The def system is designed to freeeze. It won’t call for def until the coolant lines are up to temp and thawed def is available.

Personally I wouldn’t shut the truck off in the temps they’re calling for. But that’s me and it’s my fuel. Do they figure idle time by the quarter? If so one night here or there isn’t going to make your percentage jump way up.

Dropped in Mt. Juliet, TN and swung down to Morrison to grab tires heading to Chicagoland for tomorrow morning. Hoping i can get back to Council Bluffs early Tuesday and hurry home. Kansas is supposed to be dumped on again that night into Wednesday

If it gets cold enough that you have to idle to keep the fuel from gelling, or the APU can't keep up, they usually back that day's idling out.Knucklehead Thanks this.

I plan on running the truck. I don't want to take any chances. I want to keep moving hopefully south. Its supposed to be -10 overnight.
