Well get ready for all the 20 something year olds that have always dreamed of getting into trucking to show up here...
"I just bought a one ton and a 3 car wedge... what would you suggest I do about....???"
They'll be coming out of the woodwork now, all gung-hoe expecting big bucks and ten loads a week since Cooper went out....

Just talked to a driver couple weeks ago. He said they still had plenty of work.

I think we need to look at the bigger picture. If a carrier like this goes down, it should be a stark reminder what shape our country is in. No new car sales, the life blood of our economy, is a bad sign.

Well another poorly run union company gone, I won’t lose any sleep over it.
mitrucker, flood, Grumppy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Their lack of work was not because of soft car sales. They lost their two main customers due to failed contract negotiations.Con707904, D.Tibbitt, runningman0661 and 6 others Thank this.

He won't for long. They're rolling it up.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

...."failed contract negotiations"...Is that another way of describing a shipper who won't pay more and a carrier who can't/won't work for the current rate?
So, we get cheaper hauling? I don't see any reduction in the price the dealer wants for delivery.
I don't know anything about hauling cars but I see a lot more of those 3/4 ton pickups and smaller trailers. We had one come in yesterday to use our loading ramp. He was definitely an immigrant. Very little English, rushing around like he was on speed, the inside of his Dodge looked like somebody was raising goats, and all you could say about his tie downs was that nothing had fallen off . So far, anyway.
Is this what's going be delivering my new...and wildly over priced...Tundra? I think I'd rather go to the factory and drive it home myself. Save 1800 bucks or so.
