From a week ago or so… Would have been better if she had a bath, but I’ll take it.

As to the DEF issue, if you know you are heading back towards a Yard, wait and top off. If you are out for an unknown length of time just add 5 at each fuel stop or skip if you know you have another stop soon.. If you get too low, ask to stop to get another five. Yes, it’s more times than running it down half or so and topping it off but not sure of another answer to the same issue.

    … but hey, what’s another 15 minutes a week on top of a 60-70 hour week right… lol … ;-)

It’s not that big of a deal. I went an hour over early on trying to run a full 11 make a stupid load work and then hunting for parking. The morning after it’ll come up on the report as a violation and either you’ll sign a paper the next time you’re at the safety counter in Fremont or they’ll send it to your tablet and have you digitally sign it.
Nothing will come of it unless you rack up quite a few violations in a certain period of time. I think it’s per quarter but don’t quote me on that.
They have said why they don’t turn on adverse conditions in a safety meeting but I didn’t track what they were trying to say.
It sucks to backtrack but if you are at your planned parking spot and there is no parking you can go to Personal Conveyance and run for up to 60 miles to find a safe parking spot as long as you don’t advance the load. It tracks the distance not the time, so take your time and drive to the conditions. I had to PC in California during rush hour and it took nearly 2 hours to run 40 miles.

The scales east of Des Moines have tons of parking. There was hardly anyone there when I used it.

Is DEF unlimited for drivers at the yard? If it is next time I saw empty DEF jugs next to a trash can I’d grab 2. Top off at the yard and fill the jugs. Get 5 gal a time on the road but also have the extra 5 gal just in case.
