I told my company I am quitting and need to get back to their yard because my car is there. They said okay and made me wait 6 days to get a load. The load doesn’t directly go back to the yard there are 16 stops in different states…
I came to pick up yesterday they said not ready, came to pick up today not ready. I feel like the company is playing games with me. I told them I am going to dead head to the terminal and they said no you can’t do that. It is far away about 2200 miles however I am willing to pay for fuel.
I am assigned a load but have no freight in my truck. What happens if I just deadhead? Can they do anything to my CDL? Thanks.
Need advice ASAP, Company won't get me back to the yard.

What Bozo Company do you work for?FearTheCorn, Rideandrepair, just_sayin and 10 others Thank this. -
Call the sherriffs dept where you are right now, tell them where you're going and why, so this ridiculous company doesn't say you stole it.
Get all conversations in email so you have a way to defend yourself if needed.
And don't dare pay for fuelGearjammin' Penguin, Sons Hero, Oxbow and 11 others Thank this. -
and this is why people don't give notice before quitting

You are not making any money and neither are they. I suspect there must be something else going on other than revenge against you.
Rideandrepair, austinmike and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
Well, at your next opportunity, make sure you fill up on the company's dime. Because the next thing that's going to happen is that they're going to cut off your fuel card.

Airplane or rental car home. Leave the truck there and go home.

If you abandon the truck, it will be next to impossible to be hired by another trucking company. Quitting under dispatch and 2,000 miles from the terminal is another job killer in the future.
snowlauncher, Wargames, Rideandrepair and 10 others Thank this. -
This is exactly why you can’t tell companies anything. Keep it professional and keep it 100.
Good luck buddy. You need to do what they say until the truck is back in their property. Unless you have ## money, don’t say ##.
Or if you don’t want to drive for another company just leave the truck and go.
They CAN write whatever they want on your DAC. They can make things up and it’s up to you to get it removed, which is tedious to say the least.Rideandrepair, austinmike, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this.
