I’m not sure that explains it. I see them hustling. I get unloaded quickly. I think volume at the new location might explain a bit. Or maybe they are now shipping out more than just local. so turn around is maybe an issue. We never pulled out a load from Ellabell.

I’m at a loss as to why we can’t bump the dock, get unloaded and then get reloaded and roll out. It’s like they are unloading everyone. Everyone then waits. Then outbound is loaded.

I actually get unloaded and reloaded very quickly once I bump the dock. But nothing else is flowing.

I was asked to ask the dock guys if they had loads going out. So we couldn’t get information from someplace. The dock guy said they shipped everything last Thursday and Friday. That they don’t know what goes out until it’s released from California.

The last time I reloaded there I was waiting as the computers were down so no one knew what if anything was going out.

So we end up waiting to get reloaded or rushing at the last minute to grab a broker load.

    Something is broken.

    I just want to clarify.

I’m not #####ing and moaning about Savannah. I love that nice two day run and the guys there have always been, and still very much are, very efficient with the actual loading and unloading… and they are actually very pleasant to work with too.

It’s been an absolutely AWESOME location to work with… even better than a Drop n Hook location.

    But something is broken.

FCC found a relay so I don't have to worry about a risk of getting smog checked over there idk even know where to take it to get it inspected anyway I called a few places and they want $275 plus the $30 annual fee. Profit for load is probably $1300 after fuel on this load anyway so I don't see profit in spending money to go.

IH Truck Guy and cdavis188 Thank this.

I wouldn’t spend the money on getting checked unless you know for sure you have zero fault codes. Even having inactive faults come up when they check the computer will fail your test.

Dropped at Home Depot, went to offsite location to grab empty to take home and the trailer they assigned me looks like someone took it mudding or something. The whole side and back of the trailer is caked in dried mud and dirt. With my tractor also looking pretty nasty i guess i can use my company wash since the area is supposed to have good weather for the foreseeable future.

Thankfully there’s a streakin beacon right in my town, and one that actually does a pretty decent job IMG_4834.jpeg IMG_4832.jpeg

Someone told me Salina is Blue Beacon’s corporate headquarters and that’s why they do such a good job, but idk if that’s true or not. I agree with you that’s the first place I aim for to get that red cinder sludge crap off when I come out of Colorado.

It is. That trailer wash out just west of the Petro is owned by a family member too.

Now that I'm a company driver I don't pay much attention to all this, but I believe retrofitted trucks are still legal in certain specific areas - the 101 corridor north of Airport Drive being one.
Still a number of log/lumber haulers around here running their old iron.
The little 7 truck outfit I'm with can only get 2 trucks to pass at the moment. (Mine is one)
