The following is a pretty good video discussing your different truck parking options (besides those company terminals & drop yards):

Now you know, anything work related gets done on duty. On a reset, guess it waits...honestly not the end of the world.

Like ahs been mentioned the first year is full of these little things. Learn from it and move forward.

Many new drivers have doen alot worse at this point lol.

I need to get with a guy on here who said he had a navigation device he was going to give me. We never could meet up because he was heading one direction and I was headed in the opposite direction. Maybe I could meet up with him sometime soon. I try to find as many places as I can to park at night. There have been a few places that I saw and drove right past. They looked like a really good place to get in a bad way quick. I may just be a good old country boy but I’ve lived in some major cities in my life. I’d still rather be just a simply good old country boy.

I’m in a 2025 Cascadia and love it! I’m very, very careful. I’m treating it like it’s an old antique car and not wanting to put it anywhere that I wouldn’t put a 1928 Cadillac 341A.

I’ve found that if truck stops are full, I look for Walmart parking lots that are trucker friendly like Kevin suggested in his video. He’s right about off ramps into rest areas, they are very dangerous. Right now I’m in Byhalia, Ms at a Shell station and it’s pretty quiet. I’m about 10-12 miles from Olive Branch, Ms. Not many trucks here and very close to Memphis. Just thought I’d throw that out there to anyone in need of parking.

Oh you bettcha! Looks like a good place to get robbed or worse. This Shell station I’m at has a lot of cops around and it’s been pretty quiet for the past 2 days. Not much going on here, but that could change.
