    I would recommend not shutting off the engine at all. It may hydrolock. And you won't be able to restart it... I got mine home when it blew the head , I was 1200 miles to the house. 16 gallons of coolant later and I still delivered my load on time... good luck

    If you’re in Valdosta Ga , have you called Diesel repair in Griffin Georgia? They specialise in semi truck engine repairs and overhaul.

    Agreed. Run straight water.
    Don’t tighten down the radiator cap and the cooling system shouldn’t pressurize. You should be able to make it.
