He must have still been depressed about the ruling against the "Kansas two step".

Yea, you will have to google it to get an in-depth explanation. But it was basically a way to extend a traffic stop after they had finished with their initial reason for stopping you. They would walk back to the stopped vehicle for a 'few more questions". This would buy them time for a drug dog or another trooper that was an expert in some area to arrive. This would most often end up with a search of the vehicle. Kansas Highway Patrol contended that this was actually a second stop occurring (with the same vehicle) so that more time was allowed for them to do their job. A federal judge disagreed with them.

Such a shame they’d do this to o e of the law enforcement officers…. I wonder if he was issued a lifetime ban from all Walmarts like they do the rest of the world’s thieves.

$29.73 X 40 hours for a week=$1189.20 a week-and that’s trainee pay. I would also be under the impression that after a few years, the trainee would be vested, which means they would have something close to a decent pension plan.
either way, they are certainly getting paid better than some of us.
