First truck I owned was a 94 International Hi rise Cabover. 11.1 Detroit set at 365 hp. At 65-68 I would run between 6 and 6.5.
Sold it and got a 2000 FLD with a 3406e. Didn’t notice much difference in mileage but it sure did pull better

This is the reality. Notice that conventionals are creeping closer to having the hood and windshield at the same rake. A raindrop is the ultimate (subsonic) aerodynamic shape, and it's very blunt on the front.

Rain drops don't need aerodynamics. Gravity does all the work regardless of shape. If your theory was correct projectiles like bullets and missles wouldn't be pointed.

    Not all bullets are pointed.

Ah, the "Buzzin' Dozen",,you know, I don't recall ever seeing one, but boy howdy, you could sure hear them. Actually, I don't think the V12 got all that bad of mileage, if you took it easy. I went round and round with every boss I had, that had small motors thinking better mileage and less tickets. I said,,,how do you figure better mileage when the driver has their foot to the floor all day, not to mention, wearing the motor out. Me? I'd give my driver the biggest motor known to man,,tickets are their problem.:p
