    First-hand knowledge?

Have you been driving it for a while?

If so, get it. It is worth under $15k by the way.

I said the same thing and the universe told me #### around and find out.. now here I am back as a company driver trying to put more money together... only trying to help you bro. I hate to see people go through what some of us have or are learning the hard way.

It can be done but the odds are against you.
First thing to get is a good quality code reader. Extra tools dont help if you dont know what's wrong.
Pay the truck off as soon as posible while building a cash reserve. Dont think you can take home same wage you did as a company driver.
    Good luck

If you don't try you don't know. What loan terms are you looking at. Not every loan can be paid off early. You need to check that. A friend of mine bought a truck thru arrow truck sales. He had to pay the entirety of the loan.

The truck will still cost you money. But engine and trans are the big thing.

Personally if you drive for Walmart you will be better off. Or UPS. But adventure can't always be a logical financial measure

I just couldn't imagine jumping into the industry the way it is right now. Other than possibly making your own schedule (if you can afford too) there is no bright outlook at the moment. It's like boarding a sinking ship, thinking all is going to be OK. People have been predicting the light at the end of the tunnel for years now, well, it turns out this tunnel is much longer than anticipated.

...Isn't the point of buying a $15,000-$25,000 truck to PAY CASH for it...:sad3:

I wonder if this will get me banned but ...

This thread seems to be a good example of the OP wants to only hear what he wants to hear.

it is, because you’ll need the money every month for parts.

I had like $1200 in check valves and air lines in January, not even sure which one was bad but my air issues are fixed and it still took me a couple days off to get them all,
