Major changes coming to the dot medical card

sorry you’re out of service!! I was called away on an important matter and forgot to submit it… it’s here in these piles of files…

I never thought it was right I had to show a dmv employee my medical long form. But hey, who cares, it’s in the name safety, right?

 

The lady that does mine has been submitting everything for her patients for the at least the last two physicals I’ve had. I just call the next day to make sure the state has it.

 

In Texas I just had to take the word of the clerk at the DPS office that they entered the information into the system correctly as no receipt was given. The only other option was to go online and pay ten dollars for access to my CDL record.

 

I'm not sure I like this . It seems like a backdoor way to give the people at the doctor's office my SSN and other personal information. There is no guarantee that it will be stored or handled securely.

 

the aprn that always did mine took off. Had a child and pretty much stepped back from practicing to raise a child.. she always sent in ours, but we still had to go to dmv, sit in line a couple hours while they play on their phones.

 

I should clarify, she sends it off before we leave and then we take our long form with us. Then I call the next day to make sure it’s in the system. I don’t leave with no paperwork and hope it all ends well.
