Is this who the guy bought the product from? Marijuana is literally in the name of the company. So, how does this guy assume that he wasn't buying something with THC? I get that the company may have said the particular product didn't contain THC, but with marijuana being in the name, I think any reasonable person would have arrived at the conclusion that it probably does.bryan21384 and 201 Thank this.

I disagree. I don't see how this will create protection for drug users. Legit drug users never have a leg to stand on. If this product was labeled adequately, we aren't having this discussion. He's suing because he was misled into thinking about it was THC free, he wasn't looking for an avenue to use drugs and keep driving.MACK E-6, Gearjammin' Penguin and Stringb8n Thank this.

I think these companies need to be investigated and subjected to steep fines if lab results prove that the products are "mislabeled."

I have pain every day but I will never try that.
Grumppy Thanks this. -
there’s a real simple solution to this problem… Stay away from those products while you have a CDL if you wanna keep it… Pretty clear cut and dry
201, FullMetalJacket and Stringb8n Thank this. -
Just legalize it already . Test for recent ( 24 hr) use.FullMetalJacket Thanks this.

Had a former student years ago that raved about the benefits of CBD for his particular ailments. He was not using it at the time of training & when he went off to his own truck.
Have no doubt about those facts, knowing the science & research that has been done with it.
But, I warned him of the potential of using a product with potentially debatable quality control that is completely unregulated.
All it takes is a slight screw up in processing to allow a higher percentage than zero THC to wind up in that unregulated product. No control, no consequences if so happens. Same as supplement manufacturers. You take at your own risk.
Unfortunately for us, the stakes are much higher taking that risk. And, it's just not worth that risk in our line of business. Not while things are as they are.
Sure as the sun shines, a few years later..... guess whom pops a hot random at the dream job he finally acquired after 2yrs there.
Great guy & his life was completely upended over this. Also, no longer in trucking.
You may just run into him greeting you as the security guard at a facility you might deliver to sometime, as that is what he is doing now.
What a waste of time, effort & money on his part. Hate to see this happen to anyone.Gearjammin' Penguin and Grumppy Thank this. -
but he has rights!! Or would have as long as not a truck driver…

Truck drivers are always at fault, no matter what. That’s like trucking 101. Loads late.. drivers fault, he stopped 32 minutes in mid shift cause he got hungry…
He lied down for 10 hours, 10!! You believe that who sleeps 10 hours!??
hope not dumb twucker and FullMetalJacket Thank this. -
And here’s the latest thing in the LTL business.
If you deliver a shipment damaged, and some camera watcher somewhere can’t see the damaged side as it was loaded on your truck, guess who gets the writeup for having damaged it.
Anyone who’s been doing this longer than 14 minutes knows 99% of the freight destruction happens during cross docking.hope not dumb twucker, Gearjammin' Penguin, FullMetalJacket and 1 other person Thank this.
