My average was around 1,500 miles except for the very rare short runs to get to a better area.

All in all Holland is probably the best OTR company out there as far as length of haul.

They and one other company in Grand Forks are the only ones I’d consider going back to more than twice or three times.

I see your doing good at Creafer again.

    Man,

I miss Ben & Jerry's. Been a long time, but used to pull out of both VT plants all over. Folks there treated me exceptionally well. The shipping manager always had a case of my Cherry Garcia waiting for me whenever she saw me on the outgoing list.

Especially liked delivering in, or out of Henderson. Rt. 66 Casino was a regular haunt of mine, before the TS expansion. Many a good time was had there.....

Edit: Old age senility kicking in. Confused Railroad Pass Casino with Rt. 66 in NM. (Lot's of good times there, too. They all blend together at some point.......). ✌️

The only reason I left Holland was because we moved to Southern Texas and at the time, 2012, they did not have loads down there.

I’ve been with them since may of last year, and as long as your doing your job getting pickups/deliveries on time(legally of course), communicating with dispatch, and not getting violations you will get the miles. The companies that boast 70-80 cpm probably don’t get the miles or it’s all crappy short loads with those places.

Here they do prefer accident free and they are very serious about running legal & safe.
If there are accidents or a lot of recent jobs on your record it will probably lower the offer.

Usually most complaints I’ve heard personally were from drivers who kept messing up and wondering why they weren’t getting the good loads or they expected something the company doesn’t do.

they’re not perfect but if a driver is doing their job they’ll be treated well.

I only got to run one of those when Great Plains was part of holland right before the “split”. Good run. I was at a truck stop and overheard a prime driver bragging how his company “swiped” Ben & Jerry’s.

Yes’m. They have their bad moments as well. There are a few others in the general area here that I would try if I was inclined to go back OTR again.

Holland is the last true long haul imo, that would actually let drivers do their job.

S&S is good for regional gigs. I’m not sure on the OTR side. I worked the northern regional for them.

Holland is a GREAT company. I worked there for a while but personal reasons has brought me back home for now. Do your job, run a tight ship and they will leave you be..you can't beat them for true OTR. When things change and I can do OTR again I'll go back there in a minute. Another company ive heard pretty good things about is Magnum just down the road from them, they seem to be pretty good..good luck!
