Question:
Pup A scales out as 19,000 and 12,000.
Pub B scales out as 16,500 and 14,000.
Which one would y'all make the lead?
Would it change if you knew Pup B was fully decked out and Pup A was floor loaded? -
If I knew that before hooking, I’d put B in front since my drive axle would shift about 1000 lbs off of A and onto B. Even more weight shifted if you drive a twin screw.
But if I’m already hooked up with A in the lead, I’m not swapping them around unless I get down the road and it pulls really badly.gentleroger Thanks this. -
The thing I always go by is if the dolly and rear trailer axle both individually scale heavier than the front trailer axle, then you can safely assume they have to be switched.gentleroger Thanks this.
