I love these super truckers who say they'd never swerve and would be perfectly ok with it, even if there are kids in the car. Most normal drivers would rather sacrifice themselves than live with the survivors' guilt.

I was a worker's comp adjuster for the TPA that handled Matheson's wc claims. One claim I had, the driver hit a guy who tried to commit suicide by truck after this guy had caused a fatal accident. To put it plainly, our drive was messed up, (I think it rhymes with lucked up).Flat Earth Trucker, OldeSkool and mjd4277 Thank this.

I have had more clowns in big trucks pull out in front of me in the last 3 months than 4 wheelers since 2020. Fools in trucks are SO bad these days, I barely even notice the 4 wheelers any more.FullMetalJacket, Flat Earth Trucker, broke down plumber and 5 others Thank this.

In my case lately it’s been box trucks pulling this stunt!
It’s like a rolling start is an afterthought with some of these bozos!D.Tibbitt, Flat Earth Trucker, broke down plumber and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wonder if that was Mr Harper? He drove for Andrews Logistics on the Matheson account until he passed from a heart attack in May 2019. Headed to Newark Ca like he’d done thousands of times. Stopped at the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque on a Sunday night and never woke up.
He had a guy step out off the shoulder in front of his truck on I-40 in Kingman many many years ago. He told me “there’s no way he’s going to….oh he did….” Just like that! Tom was the oldest of the old Skool. Very few of those drivers still out here with us.RockinChair, OldeSkool, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this. -
Sad story anyway you look at it. I always try to picture a little old grandma or a 16 year-old girl with a new license before I get angry at the four wheelers. When I was 18 I cut my hand, had to go into the ER. My car was stolen by a punk kid while I was in getting stitched up and I came out of the hospital at 2 AM in the morning, my car was gone. I reported it stolen. 8 AM the next morning a couple of state troopers came by my house and knocked on the door thinking they were going to tell family members that two teenage girls (sisters) were killed in an accident. They didn’t have the stolen report yet on the vehicle. The girls got the car from the punk who had stolen it and we’re driving on a 2-Lane Highway and went over the center line and hit a semi truck head on. They were killed instantly. I had lawyers contacting me asking me if I wanted to sue the family of the two girls. I got really angry at these scum attorneys. I was only 18 and I yelled at them that these parents had lost BOTH their daughters, you’re sick for even suggesting it. I was out the car, was an old beater, but I didn’t care.
