We only know what we have seen. Sorry for the problem, but I never had a problem there.

I didn’t wanna work for them years ago. When they wanted me to lie to them in order to work there..
Recruiter asked, “if we got a load to Canada will you take it? It’s rare, but it happens.”
    I said no.
He said, “if you don’t say yes, you’ll take it, we can’t hire you.” I told him then we were both wasting our time. This was 01-02ish

    Knucklehead Thanks this.

So your point is recruiters lie. I have no problem with going to Canada, but no plans on going there either. Why I choose southwest fleet.

No companies are perfect, I can only state what my experience was, nor do I defend Heartland or any other company. Kind of situational.

    Sirscrapntruckalot and Bumper Thank this.

Your choice, not mine to judge. I did lie I was not ask. But I'm a old schoo; truckdriver, I am capable of taking a load where everit going. I have been from Key West, to Bangor ME to Prudhoe Bay AL, down to San Ysidro over the year , I prefer to run Southwest, but on a rare occassion if a compny has a need, well thats my job, also. I would let them to not to make a habit of it. Everybody has the right to run the lanes they choose, IMHO.

I been all over the 48. Just don’t wanna leave those. I took a load from Laredo to Detroit and dropped it for another guy who had passport, he got all mad at me and I was 1.5 days early. He got to go way up into Canada.

Are you serious???? I was with CFI when we got bought by Heartland. Things started changing after about a month, even after we were told they would not. Our rules were one by one replaced with theirs. Customers were lost one by one and miles went down the crapper. Mike Gerdin lied straight to me and my wife’s face after lying to the entire group collectively. Have an issue and you get tossed back and forth between Joplin and Iowa as nobody knows who can fix the issue. Starting this week, they are fully transitioning the trucks over to Issac, Heartland’s system. CFI is CFI in name only, in all practicality it is already Heartland Express. They screwed up a good thing.
